La UT5 es una cinta de PVC mate con un núcleo de cartón de gran tamaño, diseñada especialmente para sellar con precisión suelos (de baile) o podios de estudio. Gracias a su rigidez y a que se desgarra en línea recta, es ideal para tramos largos de cinta sin problemas de giros ni pliegues. El acabado mate evita los reflejos bajo las luces, por lo que es la opción preferida en las grabaciones de televisión. Gracias a su facilidad para rasgarse, la UT5 también se utiliza en algunas situaciones como alternativa a la cinta gaffer.
