The UT5 is a matt PVC tape with a large cardboard core, designed specifically for neatly masking off (dance) floors or studio podiums. Thanks to its stiffness and straight tear, it is ideal for long lengths of tape without the hassle of twisting or creasing. The matt finish prevents glare from the lights – a favourite for TV recordings. Because it tears easily, the UT5 is also used in some situations as an alternative to gaffer tape.
